NO PLACE LIKE HOME is about running away from the heartache of rejection and the journey home to repair what has been broken.
Cassie was drawn to her best friend's older, twin brothers from the first time she met them. She questioned her own feelings, believing it was morally wrong to be attracted to two men. When Cassie heard talk of the brothers sharing their women, she decided to offer herself to them. Jackson and Markus, while appearing interested, rejected Cassie's advances and broke her heart. Cassie left town, hoping to live a normal life and never see the twins again. Seven years later, she is drawn home to begin a business venture with her best friend, and finds the twins are also home and now interested in her.
This book was sweet, and hot, and funny and filled with lots of honest emotions. Cassie is weary of the twins' advances because she knows the power they have to hurt her and doesn't want to allow them to do it again. But the twins are forces to be reckoned with, sometimes too much so in my opinion, but it worked. I did feel that the progression into a relationship could have felt more natural and was a bit rushed, but the author made it feel like the actions were true to the personalities of Jackson and Markus. A great story with great characters.
