Headed for Trouble

by Suzanne Brockmann

Book #18 in the Troubleshooters, Inc. series, HEADED FOR TROUBLE, is a collection of short stories that offer some insight into and adventures with some of my favorite characters.

I really enjoy this series and jumped on the opportunity to catch up with and get more detail about the characters. This collection included some previously published stories and some brand new adventures. The stories included some fan favorite characters and some older, possibly forgotten about characters. The short stories were enhanced by timelines, character interviews, and background information. It was particularly nice knowing where these short stories occurred in relation to the other books in the series.
We got to travel all the way back to 1999 and see Navy SEAL Frank O’Leary meet his true love while on leave in New Orleans, and we get to see a lot of Alyssa, Sam, and Jules. We also get to meet some new SEALs from Team Thirteen who are dealing with different threats in a different time. I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of Team Thirteen soon. The interviews with Tom and Kelly, and Kenny and Savannah, and the conversation with Jenk, Gillman, Lopez, and Izzy are fantastic. Fun characters whose heads it is fun to be inside for a little bit. Suzanne Brockmann does such an amazing job bringing her characters to life and making her readers care about them and want to know more about them. Other aspects of the book that served as enhancements were the Frequently Asked Questions section and the Glossary of Terms.
This was a great book to read and a nice filler while waiting for the next full Troubleshooters novel to be released.
