Sneak Peek

I always debate with myself whether or not to read the next book sneak peeks at the end of books.  On one hand it is a great way to get excited about the next book in a series, on the other hand it is torture getting only a snippet of writing and anticipating what the story may be.  I decided to not read the sneak peek of One Grave at a Time, the next book in the Night Huntress series, at the end of This Side of the Grave.  However, since I still have the book I can change my mind at anytime.

This Side of the Grave- Chapters 27- 37(the end)
   Summary:
Vlad challenges Cat to accept and learn to control her new powers.  After some hard work, Cat is successful.  Fabian reports in with news of Dave's plans to take drastic steps to get closer to Apollyon.  Vlad and Cat argue about whether or not the risk is worth it.  Cat says other options need to be discussed before Dave proceeds.  Cat gets a call from Tate saying she needs to come see Don because he is sick.  Cat asks Don to make a life-changing decision; he refuses.  Bones meets her there and they make an impromptu decision about their marriage.  Cat and Bones return home and Mencheres and Kira come to give an update.  Mencheres reports he found Nadia, Timmie's missing friend.  Cat remembers an odd question Marie asked her the last time they saw each other and it gives her a clue into how to find Apollyon.  Cat enlists the aid of ghosts with her new plan; they quickly find Apollyon.  Cat, Bones, Mencheres, Kira, Vlad, Spade, Denise, Ian, Ed, Scratch, Gorgon, and Veritas head to Texas to confront Apollyon.  They break up a rally and when Cat confronts Apollyon he refuses to fight her.  Cat discloses some information to the ghouls in hopes of calming them down.  Marie shows up and declares peace between ghouls and vampires.  Cat realizes that all of the recent activities have given Marie more power; she hopes Marie doesn't abuse it.  While leaving, Bones and Cat see something shocking.
