Hotels

I finally got back to River Marked today.  I've had more time for MP3 players than books or kindles lately, but I really want to finish this book because it is really starting to pick up.  I'm headed to another hotel room weekend, so I should have time there. 

Across the Universe- Chapters 73-80 (the end)
   Summary:
Elder learns some of his true history; Eldest threatens him.  Orion reveals some shocking information and goes after Eldest.  Orion tells Elder that Eldest has been lying to him and shares what he thinks has really been going on with Godspeed; Elder does not agree with either of them.  Elder realizes he needs to take on more leadership and make some changes.  He decides to share some of the ship's secrets with the others on board.  Elder shares some startling truths with Amy; she is angry, but accepting.

River Marked- Chapters 8-9
   Summary:
Hank shoots Adam; Mercy and Fred take Hank down and restrain him.  Gordon helps Mercy with Adam.  They discover a river mark on Hank and realize he is not himself.  Darryl calls when he feels Adam's injury; Adam orders him away for now.  Adam says they need to find out more about the thing in the river; Gordon says it is Hunger.  Gordon also says he will ask around about a way to remove the mark.  Mercy gets a visit from Coyote who tells her some stuff about her father.  Coyote uses Mercy to try to find out more information about the thing in the river.  The river creature attacks Mercy but Coyote and Adam help her.  They discover some basic information as a result of the attack.  Coyote discovers the creatures uses magic; he thinks he can help Hank.  Coyote tells Mercy to call Jim and plan to meet the following night; she does.  Mercy goes shopping for new clothes and gets attacked.  She thinks she knows who attacked her but doesn't understand why.
