Bones and Cat are back in action!

This Side of the Grave- Chapters 1-8
   Summary:
Cat and Bones are back in Ohio to look into some recent vampire harassment by ghouls.  They meet with a couple of vampires, Scratch and Ed, whose master was killed a couple of years ago.  They report that several months ago vampires from their group started disappearing and ghouls started showing up in town.  Now the ghouls are harassing the masterless vampires.  While talking to the Scratch and Ed, Cat is overwhelmed with voices in her head; she figures she is absorbing Bones' power and decides to make it stop.  Two other vampires, Shayne and Harris, have gone missing so Bones and Cat go to investigate.  Bones suggests that Apollyon, a centuries-old ghoul who has it out for Cat, is involved.  Bones agrees to make Scratch and Ed part of his line of vampires if they will help him figure out what is going on with the ghouls.  Bones and Cat decide to make an unannounced visit to Cat's military team; Cat discovers that people have been keeping secrets from her.  Cat gives Don, her uncle and old boss, all the details of what may be happening with Apollyon.  They agree to ask Dave, a member of the team who was turned into a ghoul, if he will go undercover.  Cat has a confrontation with her mother about some choices her mother is making.  Cat and Don explain the situation to the rest of the team and Dave agrees to help.  Cat tells her old team about her special feeding needs and Tate agrees to help her.  Tate tells Cat there is a freelance reporter in Ohio who she should speak to because he may be able to help.  Cat and Bones go to a supernatural club, Bite, to find the reporter.  They have to promise the owner to be good after the last time they were there.  They find the reporter being harassed by some vampires; Cat wins an arm wrestling contest to free the reporter.  Turns out that Cat knows the reporter, Tim.

Clockwork Angel- Chapters 6-7
   Summary:
Jem and Will go to the Dark House; Jem makes a surprising discovery.  Tessa and Jessamine go for a walk in the park; Jessamine talks about her dislike of the Institute and the people there.  Jessamine asks Tessa for a surprising favor.  They run into some trouble while walking; Jessamine saves them, but is not happy about what happens.  Charlotte and Henry try denying the existence of the Nephilim to Mr. Mortmain, but he knows too much.  Mortmain shares that he studies the occult; Charlotte warns him how dangerous that can be.  Mortmain is surprised to hear that Nate is missing but doesn't know anything because Nate quit his job with Mortmain some time ago.  He does share some information that may help them find Nate.  He also shares information that he has about The Pandemonium Club.  Charlotte asks about a cog that was found in the Dark House; Mortmain shares that a member of the Club bought some mechanical equipment from him but he didn't know what it was for.  Jessamine shares some of her family history with Tessa; Tessa feels bad for her.  Sophie leads Tessa to Henry's workroom where he and Charlotte are waiting for her.  They show her a body that looks like a girl, but is actually an automaton, made of mechanical pieces; Tessa recognizes the girl.  They tell her the pieces used to make the girl are from the company her brother was working for.  Tessa reinforces her desire to find her brother.  Lady Belcourt, a vampire, shows up at the Institute insisting to see Tessa.
