Clearing Out

So, two boxes of books packed up and ready to go away.  And, a major accomplishment today- went to a book sale where books were $3.00/ bag and I only bought 1 bag! 

Naked Heat- Chapters 18-20 (the end)
   Summary:
Morris gives Nikki more detail about what he witnessed with Soleil and Reed the night he died.  Victor, Esteban's cousin, tells Ochoa that Esteban was selling tips to Towne about his celebrity limo riders.  Esteban was driving the limo Reed and Soleil got into the night Reed died; he shared information with Towne and with others.  Nikki questions Toby about his connection to Reed and Soleil and discovers he knew more than he was saying.  He shares what he knows about Reed's death; and how Derek and Jess were involved.  Nikki forms a connection between Wolf and everything that has happened.  She tries to get in touch with Rook but he is not answering his phone because he has been kidnapped again.  Rook's captors are looking for the final chapter of the book; Rook is not giving it up.  Nikki shows up trying to save Rook; she fails, but gets the true story of Reed's death and how everyone was involved. 

Dreams of a Dark Warrior- Chapters 16-29
   Summary:
Regin and Declan get into a fight that begins to turn sexual; Declan snaps out of it and sends Regin back to her cell.  Declan has a dream about the day he gave Regin the swords she still uses.  Declan has Regin escorted to his office again the next night.  Regin calls him on his dreams about them; he believes she has put some sort of spell on him.  Regin tries to figure out why Declan hates immortals so much.  Regin shares more information with Aidan about his past reincarnations.  Regin tries to get Declan to see that not all immortals are bad and some of them would ally with him against the bad ones.  Declan has more dreams of past reincarnations with Regin.  Webb calls and says that Fegley, the warden, has been making troubling reports about Declan and Regin; Declan defends himself.  Regin and Natalya figure out Thad is at least part vampire.  Thad gets moved to a different cell; but torture him first.  He is worried that Natalya and Regin will hate him when he finds out he's a vampire.  Declan receives a cryptic message from Nix.  Declan brings Lothaire in for another interview.  Lothaire tries to bargain for his ring and again warns that Declan will be sorry he has it.  Lothaire figures out Declan is Aidan.  Declan brings Regin to his room again; she is mad because he broke his promise not to torture any of her friends.  Regin shares stories of one of Aidan's other incarnations.  After more storytelling Declan and Regin come close to having sex, but they are interrupted by Webb.  Webb works to convince Declan that Regin was just playing him and trying to kill him.  Declan's security clearance is downgraded, but Webb is willing to cover things up.  Webb sends Declan out to help Fegley with the capture of a new prisoner and then to raid a nest of Neoptera, the creatures that tortured him and killed his family.  When Declan returns Dixon brings him more medicine; he notices she is acting oddly.  Dixon takes Regin in for an examination; Regin asks Declan to help her.  Natalya tries to cheer Regin up by planning their torture of Declan and escape.
