The wait is over

I finally started reading Shadowfever today!  I didn't start this series until after the first 4 books were released; I quickly read through those 4 books.  Of course the end of the 4th book was horrible with a major cliffhanger and I've had to wait for the final book.  The book came out a couple of weeks ago, but I was in the middle of some other reads at the time.  But now the time is here!

The Lost Gate- Chapters 3 & 4

   Summary (may contain spoilers):
We briefly follow Roop and Levet and their children, a family from the kingdom of Iceway, on a trip to the meadow of the Man in the Tree in the Forest Deep.  In the middle of the meadow there is a large oak tree that has bark distended in the shape of a man.  The tree frightens a lot of people because the man shape is in perfect proportion and it moves.  No one knows how long the figure has been there and there are lots of stories about how the person got into the tree.  In the middle of the night Eko and her father see the person coming out of the bark and help him.  When they wake in the morning he is gone.  Danny decides he needs to steal a few things from Wal-Mart to fit in with the drowthers.  He is followed by a security guard in the store but creates a scene to buy himself some time.  He leaves the store and runs into Tony and Eric.  Eric convinces Danny that the 2 of them should travel together to DC, pretending to be brothers.  Eric plans on begging and scamming people to make money.

Shadowfever- Chapters 1-3

   Summary (may contain spoilers):
Story picks up right where Dreamfever left off.  Mac is with Barrons, who she has accidentally killed.  She sits with him, screaming and crying, for some time.  Mac is regretful she didn't open up more to Barrons; she becomes more determined to to accomplish her mission.  She meets up with Darroc and 2 Unseelie Princes.  Her and Darroc agree to be "friends" and work together to get the Sinsar Dubh.
