Car rides!

I love free time in the car to read.  I am very lucky that I am not one of those people who gets headaches or car sick when reading in a moving vehicle.  Of course, if I did I would just listen to more books on my MP3 player!  Unfortunately, I am one of those people who tends to get very sleepy while riding in the car; this sometimes interferes with reading.  But, today it did not and I finished Wither!  It was great.

   Summary (may contain spoilers):
Gabriel and Rhine continue to bond and Rhine reassures Gabriel that she is not in love with Linden and that Linden is not forcing her to consummate their marriage.  Vaughn starts paying more attention to Rhine and tells her that she is Linden's favorite and that she is making him enjoy life again.  Vaughn also points out all the nice things she has now that she is with them.  Rhine thinks more of her brother and reminds herself to stay determined to get back to him.  There is another hurricane alarm and Rhine uses the commotion to attempt escape.  She is unsuccessful and ends up hurt and injured from being caught in the storm.  Vaughn confronts her about her attempt and threatens her life is she runs again; he also restricts the wives movements around the house and grounds.  Linden believes the cover story that Jenna created for Rhine and has no idea she tried to run away.  Rhine and Gabriel share a kiss and then Gabriel disappears.  Rhine starts subtly encouraging Linden to listen to everything his father tells him.  Deirdre cautions Rhine about trying to run away and expresses fear for her safely with Vaughn.  Deirdre share some unknown information about Rose and an unsuccessful pregnancy.  Jenna and Rhine agree they don't trust Vaughn with Cecily and the baby and commit to keep an eye on things.  Linden takes Rhine to an architecture expo.; she takes note of the path the car takes to leave the house.  Rhine and Linden bond while out together; on the way home they share their first kiss.  Rhine starts to realize that Linden is more sheltered that she believed and that he does not know the full story of how she and her sister wives came to be his wives.  Rhine tries to get more information about Gabriel and is told by the head cook that Vaughn has been watching him since Rhine tried to escape.  She tells Rhine to stop asking questions about Gabriel, he has been reassigned to another part of the house.  Rhine opens up more to Jenna.  Rhine learns a secret about the grounds of the mansion that helps her further her escape plan.  Linden gives Rhine more freedom at the house, thanks to encouraging from Jenna.  Jenna expresses her support of Rhine finding Gabriel and escaping.  Cecily has her baby and is upset by how much time Vaughn takes him away to spend time with him.  She appears much weaker following the birth.  Rhine gains the title of "first wife."  Jenna causes a distraction so Rhine can search for Gabriel; she finds him and convinces him to run away with her.  Linden take Rhine to another party where there are TV camera; she hopes they show her on TV and Rowan sees that she is alive.  Jenna becomes sick with virus-like symptoms, but she is only 19.  She only lives a few more days.  Linden takes Rhine to another party; she feels some jealousy watching him dance with another woman.  Rhine discovers that Cecily has been sharing information about her and Jenna with Vaughn.  Cecily feels she has done this in an effort to help everyone; she has faith in Vaughn finding an antidote to the virus.  Rhine feels that Vaughn killed Jenna is Cecily's information sharing is responsible.  Linden expresses an interest in learning about Rhine's past; she refuses to share with him.  On the planned day Rhine follows through with her escape plan; the head cook and Cecily help in her efforts.  Her and Gabriel get off the grounds and make plans to head to NY.
