Quick, quick

A quick blog tonight with just a few notes.  Tonight it is because of a lack of time and an early bedtime tomorrow.  In the future, I am going to try to do better with the whole "summary" thing instead of spelling out word for word every detail of the book.  Didn't get any Shadowfever reading in today because my kindle wasn't cooperating.  Not sure what happened, but it is working now.  Have to call amazon...
I'm also mixing things up a bit- I have to be in the car all day tomorrow so I'm getting Shadowfever for my MP3 and I got a paperback copy of The Lost Gate

The Lost Gate- Chapters 5-7
   New characters met/ mentioned:
King Prayard, king of Iceway (in Westil), seamage, husband of Bexoi;
Bexoi, wife of Prayard, sister of Jarl of Gray;
Jarl of Gray, brother of Bexoi, winner of war against Prayard;
Anonoei, Prayard's concubine, mother of his sons;
Eluik and Enopp, Prayard and Anonoei's sons;
Hull, night cook at Nassassa;
Ced, "friend" of Eric's, invites them to stay with him at Stone's house;
Stone, owner of house Danny & Eric go stay at, takes in lots of "strays";
Lana, Ced's wife;
   Summary:
There is some history given about Iceway and the importance of seamages there.  King Prayard is discussed along with his wife Bexoi, whom he is only married to as a result of a war treaty.  We discover some more information about the Man in the Tree.  He comes to live and work in Prayard's fortress of Nassassa with Hull.  Hull figures out some of the man's secrets; she names him Wad.  Danny and Eric's adventure takes them to Washington, D.C. and nothing but craziness follows.  Danny makes an amazing discovery in the Library of Congress.  Eric sees Danny coming using a gate and Danny is forced to explain.  Eric wants to put Danny's skills to use burglarizing houses.  Danny meets Stone and realizes he knows something about mages, he's just not sure what.
