1105 Yakima Street

Another classic Debbie Macomber Cedar Cove novel. These books pull me into the lives of these amazing people. When I read these books I feel like I am a member of the Cedar Cove community looking forward to the newest town gossip! I really enjoyed that this book included so many people from past stories, especially some of the families that I consider core to the Cedar Cove community. Ben and Charlotte, Olivia and Jack, Grace and Cliff, and Roy and Corrie. Of course the extended members of those families were included- I was happy to see self-centered Will challenged by someone and Gloria start to honestly express her feelings and the Wyse family find some resolution to their conflicts. One of my favorite characters in this book may have been Beau- such a little guy with huge powers to heal a broken heart. Of course there was Bruce, Rachel, and Jolene. I really what a heart breaking and warming story. I was glad to see Bruce accept some responsibility for his part in the family trouble, and I was glad to see Rachel stand firm in her decision to remove herself from a bad situation until things were resolved. I would've enjoyed more positive interaction between Bruce and Jolene, not just him being frustrated with her attitude all the time. The conclusion was well written and poignant. I am sad that this is the second to last book in this series and I am now anxiously awaiting the last book. I can't wait to see all the families revisited one last time and look forward to seeing how Macomber finalizes everything.
