Love Me If You Dare- Chapters 1-11
   Summary:
This book picks up a couple of chapters from the end of Kiss Me If You Can, the first book in this series.  Rafe and Sara, NYPD cops and ex-partners, are working security for a charity event.  We learn the reason why these two are ex-partners is because of Rafe's attraction to Sara.  When Sara gets taken hostage, Rafe saves her and becomes the target of "The Bachelor Blog," a newspaper series that follows eligible bachelors in NYC.  Rafe and Sara are both injured during the rescue; Sara stays by Rafe's bedside until he is released from the hospital.  She is thrown by some comments in The Bachelor Blog and doesn't quite know how to deal with her feelings.  Both Rafe and Sara and put on leave from work due to injuries.  Rafe decides to head to his hometown on Lake Ontario to recover without being hounded by The Blog reports.  Sara is at home recovering and trying to keep a low profile because of an upcoming case she is testifying in.  The Blog makes it difficult for her to keep her low profile.  Her friend Coop encourages her to get out of town for a while.  He also talks to her about Rafe and encourages her to get over some of her relationship issues and give the man a break.  A threatening note that Sara thinks may be related to her court case is what finally prompts her to leave town; she goes to visit Rafe.  Rafe's hometown, Hidden Falls, is getting ready to host a large wine festival, so it is busy.  Sara finds Rafe's sister-in-law, Angel, who helps Sara find Rafe.  Rafe agrees Sara should stay with him for a while; he feels bad she was driven out of town by The Blog.  Sara meets more of Rafe's family; she really connects with Angel.  Rafe and Sara discuss their attraction, but both agree a short fling wouldn't work.  Angel discusses her marriage problems with Nick, Rafe's brother, and encourages Sara to not deny her feelings for Rafe.  Angel gives Sara some history about Rafe's family in hopes of getting her to understand Rafe's serious approach to relationships.  Sara gets a clue she's still being sought out; Rafe steps up protection measures.  Rafe doesn't like the two newest guests at Angel's B&B, Biff and Todd.  Rafe's Aunt Vi thinks her husband, Pirro, is cheating and asks Rafe to investigate.  Sara and Rafe decide to not ignore their attraction to one another even though they are both aware that things may end badly.  Biff and Todd approach Pirro with an illegal business proposition.  Sara finds out The Blog has reported she is in Hidden Falls.  The pie stand Angel had at the wine festival is burned down; it is a threat to Pirro.  The family tries to figure out who would burn down Angel's stand.  Rafe and Sara fill Angel and Nick in on what is happening with Sara and wonder if there is a connection to the fire.  Rafe decides to increase security at his house.
