Not Much

So I didn't get far today at all with reading... but I got a lot done on the blog.  I may actually share this with people soon.
can get me to countdown to release dates.  Anyway, onto the review...
Wither- Chapters 5 & 6

   Summary (may contain spoilers):
Rhine has her first alone time with Linden when he takes her to the garden for sunrise.  He briefly discusses geography and Rhine hides from him that she is very educated on the subject, thanks to her father.  The wives are let out of their rooms, but are only allowed to travel on the floor their bedrooms are on; the elevator requires a key card.  The three girls spend time reading, playing music, and video games.  Rhine comes to realize that Jenna is upset and does not want anything to do with her new life.  Cecily, on the other hand, is very excited to be married and wants to start having children.  Rose and Rhine grow closer; Rose shares information about Linden and Vaughn.  Rose dies and in the commotion that follows Rhine slips into the elevator with Gabriel and goes with him to the kitchen.  Linden comes to Rhine's room the night Rose dies and sobs himself to sleep.  When Gabriel brings breakfast the next morning he seems upset to see Linden in Rhine's bed.  Linden and Rhine talk some while eating breakfast.  Cecily questions Rhine about Linden being in her room and whether they consumated their marriage or not; Rhine refuses to discuss.  Rhine opens up to Gabriel about how unhappy she is at the house and about Rowan and her past.  She also tells him all about her capture and how she ended up with Linden.  Gabriel shares that Vaughn beat him after finding out Gabriel left Rhine's door unlocked her first day in the house.  Gabriel and Rhine get trapped in the basement where they see people in biohazard suits wheeling away Rose's body.

The Lost Gate- Chapter 2

   Summary (may contain spoilers):
Around Christmas, the Greeks come to the North compound for a surprise inspection.  There is a single child with the Greeks.  There is mention of some debate among the Norths as to whether they should present as strong and powerful in hopes of intimidating other Families; or if they should present as dirty and weak so the other Families won't see them as a threat and will leave them alone.  The Norths' present their children dirty, with no shoes.  Danny decides he wants to spy on the meeting between his family and the Greeks; he sneaks into a hidden hole to eavesdrop.  When the Greek girl enters the room she walks directly to the wall Danny is hidden behind.  Danny creates a gate to escape before he is discovered.  Thor's clant comes to talk to Danny and tells him the he, Danny's parents, and Mook and Lummy have been watching him and know he is a gatemage.  Thor tells Danny he needs to not return to the compound or he will be killed.  Thor encourages Danny to go away until he can make a gate that other can travel through, not just him.  If he can create such a gate then the Family will be able to get to Westil; this will make Danny the hero of the family and no one will want to kill him.  Danny takes off.
