Another hit for the Market Garden series. These books are the perfect mix of hot and sweet- IF IT FORNICATES being no exception.
In the previous book in this series Spencer convinces Nick they can have a relationship without Nick giving up his job- which is working as an expensive rentboy at Market Garden. In this book we find that Nick is the one struggling with his chosen profession, not Spencer. Nick is losing his focus and concentration, which can be dangerous for a Dom who gets paid well to inflict pain on his customers. Nick is finding it difficult to stop thinking about Spencer and how much being with him seems to center Nick’s fraying emotions.
The idea of a committed relationship between a Dom rentboy and a high powered lawyer is preposterous- but these authors make it work. The story and all of the emotions mixed into it are so genuine and heartfelt that you believe the love. Spencer is in love with Nick and is not willing to give that up because of Nick’s unusual job. Spencer is not nagging Nick to quit or trying to make Nick feel bad about what he does. When Nick starts to express some work dissatisfaction, Spencer simply encourages him to explore his feelings and figure out what is going on in his head. It just so happens that Spencer is having some of the same feelings about his work, so the two are able to explore their relationship and grow closer over this bond. When both men figure out what it is that will make them truly happy it has the potential to change their relationship forever.
This entire series, including IF IT FORNICATES, has been a hit and so much fun to read. I am looking forward to the fifth book very much.
