ANYTHING HE WANTS is a lustful tale of attraction, domination and danger. From their first encounter, Lucy finds herself, surprisingly, yielding to all of Jeremiah's wishes. But will Jeremiah continue to get anything he wants when he pulls Lucy into a world of danger, secrets and lies?
This book was actually a combination of a five-part short story collection about the fast-forming, brief relationship between Lucy and Jeremiah. Lucy has been lusting after the hot stranger on the elevator for some time when he finally makes a move on her and she discovers he is a powerful billionaire. From there, things progress very quickly, too quickly for me to feel a strong connection to the relationship. One minute Lucy is discovering that Jeremiah owns the company she is temping for and the next they are at a fancy fundraiser in Paris. Jeremiah's two closest friends comment on the fact that he doesn't bring a woman into his world lightly, but we do not see much contemplation in his decision.
The relationship is hot and steamy and I very much enjoyed Lucy's inner struggles with her desire to submit for the first time in her life. I also enjoyed seeing the occasional cracks in Jeremiah's tough persona when he and Lucy were together, although I wish there had been a few more.
My favorite part of the book is the last section where there is some action, some family drama and secrets revealed, and the charming misfit brother gets some stage time. I would like to know what happens next.
