Claiming Their Racy Sub

by Tara Rose

In CLAIMING THEIR RACY SUB we see that abuse can be overcome and love can be discovered through a combination of trust, compassion, and honesty.

Alexa is hoping her move to small town Racy, Indiana has helped her escape her abusive, ex-Dom, but she is constantly worried he will find a way to track her down. Since moving to Racy, she has begun dating two sweet men who seem to be accepting of her hesitations regarding any physical relationship with either of them.

However, as she grows closer to Luke and Chase, she grows more comfortable and more turned on, until she can no longer deny her feelings for the both of them. She is forced to share her past with them and is uncertain of their reactions until her ex forces them all to admit their true feelings for one another. But can their relationship work when Chase is also keeping secrets, neither man is sure about sharing a sub, and Luke has no experience being a Dom?

I liked that this book showed us a character discovering his Dominant nature rather than a character discovering his submissive nature--which is what I have read so far from this author. I also really enjoyed the contrasting personalities and back stories of the main characters. While two of the characters shared some history of abuse, the other was raised in an idyllic, large, supportive family. The author does a great job of showing how a shared history can strengthen a relationship but also how varying pasts can balance a relationship.

I really enjoyed the emotional struggles and growth experienced by Luke. Luke's a man who has little experience with relationships because women seem to think of him as the big brother/best friend type. When he discovers that he not only has strong feelings for Alexa but also wants to dominate her, his character is beautifully developed.

The supporting characters and the town of Racy round out the story and make it a truly fun and exciting book to read. And the lead in to the next book is teased just right that I can't wait to pick that one up and start reading.
